Psalms 126:2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then they said among the nations, Jehovah has done great things with them.

Sweet Wisdom

I worship a God that made chocolate. Huge piles of it. The kind with the richest flavor and smoothest texture that sends a soothing stream of coco-pleasure right to the brain. My tongue tingles as pieces of chocolate dance around my mouth. It is creamy and sticky and thoroughly coats each tastebud with its addictivly sweet taste.
There is a plant that hangs on my porch. It receives four things; Earth, air, sunshine and water. Nothing else has contributed to its growth since it was a seed. That seed contained a program ( we call DNA ). That "program" was created by my God. He takes the same four elements and makes tomatoes, roses, mighty oaks, bananas....... Its amazing what variety comes from just four things. Now, if my God conceived and created, out of four elements, a Venus fly trap, well then He must have foreseen the invention of chocolate.
As the one "who knows the beginning from the end", surely he had known what he was doing when he made the coco bean. A specific design of pleasure-yielding chemicals and a captivating aroma. Was this purpose for pleasure? I boldly say " YES "! And I will dare not withhold from my creator the delight of his creation.
In a season of blessing, let my body be satisfied and let my soul sing of his goodness. I hunger OF the Lord and FOR the Lord. He has silenced the tremors of my soul with himself, and become the climax of my creation. Unto him all credit is due, especially that of chocolate.

Stop and smell the cactus

There isn't 1ooo words that would do some pictures justice. This is a moment of still and peace. On the way up the hill the word was "burning leg". On the way down..."Weeeeeee...". The State Parks are amazing here ( and I want my mother to know we both wore helmets ). Aside from playing around and sleepin in, there are some cool things happening in our lives. We were in a friends garage on Friday night. Eric and Mary Ann are some new people we know. Eric starts playing a worship song on the guitar. The garage door is open and we all stand on the threshold of the driveway. The sound escapes into the neighborhood. A beautiful Texas night is made perfect as we all join are voices in a sweet sound of praise toward Heaven. That's one of the moments I have anticipated since before the trip began. On Saturday night we made tacos in abundance. Another young couple we had met earlier in the day were our guests. Jen and Scott are in their 20's and traveling the country this summer. As the stack of tortillas gets shorter we all share stores and thoughts on the lives we live. Long into the night, we laugh and connect with each other. Krisan says "I cant believe its midnight"! And as our favorite CD spins, the two paths that merged will separate, and our journeys will continue. They were undoubtedly in the dark, we were undeniably shining. I ask all the brothers and sisters to lift them up. As for us, were not going to get normal jobs. We are going to try our hand in washing trailers in the place we are staying. Our first attempt was a nail-biter. We did get work, and get paid, but there were minor issues. It would be nice to earn some more income. So until then we'll be sure to rest up and prepare for the good times and the Lords work. Roading...bloging...signing off.

Jobs? Well, not quite yet...

San Antonio has been quite amazing and although we don't have jobs yet we've been exploring for rather cheaply. We have been riding our bikes all around the city from the downtown river walk to out in the Hill Country. We've been meeting other adventurous people every where we go (this is a shot out to you shawn) . We are so thankful God has given us this opportunity. Beyond all the great things we see and do it has been amazing for our relationship. You would think being in close quarters 24/7 would be hard but it isn't. Infact it's brought us closer to each other and closer to God. We have really been able to get back to the simple things in life.
Although we are enjoying all the free time we would really like to work. So, friends......would you pray for us? Maybe drop a comment or two for a job idea either entrepreneurial or working for the man. Let's get some fresh ideas. I'm meeting with a Mary Kay rep tomorrow..........
Yes this is Krisan and yes this is my first post. thanks for coming with!

Cool New News

In a way I REALLY wanted to get a picture with John Hagee, However, I did want to respect his character and humbleness. At Cornerstone Church on Sunday we sat with thousands of others and were touched and blessed at a mans abundant education, sincere heart and truthfull delivery of the Gospel. It was a profound (and overdue) moment in our trip, when we got to worship with the saints and feel connected to our spiritual family again. Distance doesn't separate friends, but we all long for a somewhat "direct connection" to other believers. After the service Krisan and I met Pastor Hagee and had a short prayer time together. We did get into a local bible study on Friday nights.
So.......We need jobs. I kinda want to get out and meet the people of San Antonio. I have applied at places like; Walmart, gas stations, pizza places........Tomorrow we go to the temp services. I have been to these kind of places before in Tampa and Charleston ( these are rough crowds ). But you never know what they are going to have! I am sure that we will land somethin soon.
We have had the pleasure to meet some cool people recently. Kayla is a 10 year girl that befriended us. We met her grandmother in the laundry mat ( I think Krisan is going to cut her hair ). From the conversation with Kayla it is very evident that she has a rough life. Difficulty at home, trouble at school.......We want to send her to VBS at Cornerstone, and see what other impact we can have in her family. Three trailers down from us is Courtney and Toby. I cant believe they are like 20 something! Thats a rare thing round here folks! We met them today. She is a student and he works, so were going to have them over for games or something like that real soon. Stuff is really pickin up round here, so log on often and come with us.
