Stop and smell the cactus

There isn't 1ooo words that would do some pictures justice. This is a moment of still and peace. On the way up the hill the word was "burning leg". On the way down..."Weeeeeee...". The State Parks are amazing here ( and I want my mother to know we both wore helmets ). Aside from playing around and sleepin in, there are some cool things happening in our lives. We were in a friends garage on Friday night. Eric and Mary Ann are some new people we know. Eric starts playing a worship song on the guitar. The garage door is open and we all stand on the threshold of the driveway. The sound escapes into the neighborhood. A beautiful Texas night is made perfect as we all join are voices in a sweet sound of praise toward Heaven. That's one of the moments I have anticipated since before the trip began. On Saturday night we made tacos in abundance. Another young couple we had met earlier in the day were our guests. Jen and Scott are in their 20's and traveling the country this summer. As the stack of tortillas gets shorter we all share stores and thoughts on the lives we live. Long into the night, we laugh and connect with each other. Krisan says "I cant believe its midnight"! And as our favorite CD spins, the two paths that merged will separate, and our journeys will continue. They were undoubtedly in the dark, we were undeniably shining. I ask all the brothers and sisters to lift them up. As for us, were not going to get normal jobs. We are going to try our hand in washing trailers in the place we are staying. Our first attempt was a nail-biter. We did get work, and get paid, but there were minor issues. It would be nice to earn some more income. So until then we'll be sure to rest up and prepare for the good times and the Lords work. Roading...bloging...signing off.
